The Coat of Arms on the reverse of the coin consists of the badges of six States of the Commonwealth on a shield enclosed by an ermine border signifying Australian Federation in 1901. The crest of the Arms, including a seven-pointed star, appears above the shield, which is supported by a kangaroo and an emu, which are native Australian animals. The Coat of Arms represents the federation of the statesand the unique wildlife of Australia.

A meaningful keepsake for new Australians, the collectable acknowledges the value such citizens bring to a nation devoted to community, diversity and acceptance.

This coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965 and has an unlimited mintage.

DESIGN

The 2025 Australian Citizenship coin portrays the Commonwealth Coat of Arms, accompanied by the words AUSTRALIAN and CITIZENSHIP, and year date. The design also incorporates The Perth Mint's traditional 'P' mintmark.

The coin's obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, and the monetary denomination.

PRESENTATION

The coin is presented in a coloured display card featuring the Australian flag and a representation of the five stars of the Southern Cross constellation. Incorporating a Certificate of Authenticity, the card features a fold-out stand for upright display.
