Please Note: These coins are pre-owned and may have toning, the cards may also show signs of wear.
The Olymphilex Exhibition held in Sydney and Canberra during the time of the Olympic Games in September 2000 brings together an international exhibition of numismatic, philatelic and other Olympic memorabilia.
This coin has been specially struck to commemorate that event and for the first time uses edge lettering to give unique identification of where the coin was struck.
The coin, which was designed in Canberra by Wojciech Pietranik, was approved by the International Olympic Committee and illustrates on the reverse the link between the Olympic tradition and the Host City of the Summer Games of 2000. The obverse carries the Ian Rank-Broadley design of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
