Retail Store Manager

Business Overview

Little Coin Shop is a family owned and operated business, established online in 2011. In 2018, we met customer requests to expand our operations to include investment grade precious metal, opening Bullion Now, and Little Coin Shop’s first physical shop front, in Melbourne CBD.

In 2024, we outgrew out dispatch facility and moved to Pakenham, where we are currently setting up our new warehouse, and a second store front.

Job Summary

As a Retail and Online Store Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our retail and online operations. This includes overseeing daily store activities, managing online sales platforms, coordinating dispatch and stock management, and ensuring exceptional customer service. You will collaborate directly with the owners to lead a team and collaborate with various departments, including our team’s sister store, Bullion Now, to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Retail Store Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the retail store, ensuring a high standard of presentation, cleanliness, and customer service.
Online Store Management: Manage the online store, including updating product listings, processing orders, and managing customer enquiries.
Dispatch Coordination: Coordinate the dispatch of online orders, carefully packaged, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers.
Stock Management: Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure optimal stock availability.
Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate a team of sales associates and online support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Customer Service: Ensure excellent customer service across all channels, addressing customer concerns and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
Sales Performance: Monitor sales performance, analyse data, and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and increase profitability.
Marketing Collaboration: Work with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns and strategies to drive traffic and sales.
Website Collaboration: Work with the in-house web-developer to update and streamline the website.
Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on sales, inventory, and customer feedback, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Desired Skills

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail management, e-commerce, or a related field.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in learning and using e-commerce platforms, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Customer Focus: A customer-centric mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse sales data, identify trends, and develop actionable strategies for improvement.
